Christian J. Ehrlich

Mr. Ehrlich holds a Master’s Degree with merit in Maritime Security from Coventry University, UK, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science from the Monterrey Institute of Technology, Mexico.

He is also a graduate of the William J Perry Center for Hemispheric Defense Studies -National Defense University- in Washington, DC, where he was invited to the first cohort of the Defense Policy and Complex Threats 2016 high-level executive program.

Christian J Ehrlich is the founding Director of Riskop, Mexico’s leading Strategic intelligence and risk mitigation firm. He also founded the Institute for Strategy and Development Research (ISDR), a think-tank devoted to foster strategic culture in Mexican private and public organizations, focusing on defense and national security studies.

Since 2021, he is an Honorary Professor at the Peruvian Army War College, where he has lectured on Transnational Criminal Organizations (TCOs), Mexico’s security landscape and maritime strategy.

He has worked as Non Resident Fellow at the Mexican Navy Strategic Research Institute, focusing on strategy and new types of conflict, where he published extensively on criminal insurgencies, maritime policy and naval capabilities.

He is a regular speaker on issues concerning Mexico’s national security and defense challenges.

Since 2022, he directs Ehrlich Maritime Security, where he integrates a team of talented security and defense experts -both military and civilian- with substantial expertise in the field.
